Estate Planning Document Assembly Skill
Will, healthcare POA, financial POA, and HIPAA authorization. All four populated from one intake pass, in your firm's own templates. That's 2 to 3 hours of assembly per client, back in your day. You verify your state's execution rules and finalize. Free Claude skill, yours to keep.

How it works
- Install the plugin — Add the plugin to Claude Desktop using the provided plugin folder or ZIP file.

Compliance: assisted draft, always reviewed
This drafts from the input you supply. It never sends or files anything, never invents facts you didn’t provide, and carries a hard-coded “Not legal advice — review before use” disclaimer on every output.
What’s inside
- The /estate-documents skillOne Claude Desktop plugin. Install the zip, attach an intake folder, type /estate-documents. No connectors to authorize. No credentials to configure.
- All four core documentsBasic will, healthcare POA, financial POA, and HIPAA authorization. Ask for one, or ask for all four from a single intake pass.
- Your templates first, placeholders secondIt uses your firm's own state-specific template for every document type you attach one for. For the rest it uses a bundled generic placeholder, and it tells you plainly which is which.
- A required-fields checklist per documentExecutor, guardians, agents, residuary beneficiaries, scope of powers. If a required field is missing it names it. It never fills the gap with a plausible-sounding guess.
- Cross-document consistency checkingThe same person is spelled the same way in every document. Primary and alternate ordering stays consistent. If the intake spells a name two ways, it flags the conflict and asks.
- Placeholders for what only you can decideState execution formalities, springing versus immediate effective dates, and whether the client needs anything beyond these four. It marks them for you. It never rules on them.
✓ Works great when
- You assemble the same four-document set client after client, and you already have your own state-specific templates
- You run a structured intake and want the assembly step to stop eating your afternoons
- You're on Claude for Work, Team, or Enterprise, the plans with a DPA that covers privileged content
✗ What breaks at scale
- You need trusts, pour-over wills, or beneficiary deeds, which sit outside the four documents this drafts
- You want intake answers pulled from a client questionnaire automatically, rather than assembled into a folder by hand
- You want funding checklists tracked and the signing ceremony scheduled once the set is finalized
Frequently asked
What do I need to run this?
Claude Desktop and a qualifying Claude plan. Download the zip from the GitHub releases page and drag it into Claude Desktop’s Extensions panel. About ten minutes. No connectors to authorize, no credentials to configure.
Can I use this on my Claude Pro plan?
Not with client information. Consumer plans, meaning claude.ai Personal and Claude Pro, don’t come with a Data Processing Agreement covering privileged content. So don’t attach confidential intake files on one. Use Claude for Work, Claude Team or Enterprise, or the Claude API with a signed DPA from Anthropic. Not sure which plan you’re on? Open Claude Desktop and go to Help → About.
Are the bundled templates valid in my state?
No, and we won’t pretend otherwise. The bundled placeholders are generic structural starting points. They make no claim of state-specific accuracy. Attach your own state’s form for each document type and the skill uses that instead. If you do rely on a placeholder, replace it or verify it independently before any client signs.
Does it know my state's witnessing and notarization rules?
No. It leaves a marked placeholder for execution formalities, meaning witness count, notarization, and self-proving affidavit language. Verifying those is your call, every time. It also flags springing versus immediate effective dates as attorney-to-confirm, because the default varies by state.
Will it decide which documents my client needs?
No. It drafts what you ask for and nothing more. It won’t suggest a trust, rule one out, resolve a guardianship question, advise on tax strategy, or make any capacity or undue-influence judgment. Those are yours. It also never notarizes, files, records, or schedules a signing.
What happens if the intake is incomplete?
It tells you exactly which required fields are missing, by name, for that document type. Then it drafts the other documents anyway. A missing executor blocks the will, not the healthcare POA. It never invents a name, a beneficiary, or an asset to keep things moving.
Can you build this into my intake process instead?
Yes. The free skill is yours to keep and run as-is. If you want intake flowing in from your client questionnaire, the set extended past the core four, and funding checklists tracked through to signing, that’s a Build. Typically $5k to $15k over 2 to 3 weeks.
Want the version built for your firm?
Done-for-You Build.
The free skill handles the four core documents from a folder you attach. Want trusts and pour-over wills in the same pass? Intake flowing straight in from your client questionnaire? Funding checklists tracked and the signing ceremony scheduled? That's a Build. You still verify every state requirement and finalize every document. We automate the assembly around that, never the judgment inside it.
What you get
- Intake answers flowing in from your client questionnaire, so nobody rekeys them into a folder
- Your document set extended past the core four, into trusts, pour-over wills, and beneficiary deeds
- Funding checklists tracked per client, so nothing stalls after the signing
- The signing ceremony scheduled and reminded automatically once you mark the set final
