1. Who we are

protomated.com is operated by Authority Wit, LLC, doing business as Protomated (“Protomated,” “we,” “us,” “our”). We are a New Hampshire-based consulting practice serving solo and small law firms with operations, automation, and AI services.

If you have any questions about this policy or our handling of your information, contact us at [email protected].

2. This is not legal advice

We are not your attorney. Nothing on this site creates an attorney-client relationship. Information collected on this site is for marketing and service inquiry purposes only. If you are an attorney using our services, our engagement with your firm is governed by a separate written agreement, not by this policy or this website.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you give us

  • Contact and inquiry information: name, email address, firm name, phone number, practice area, and anything else you share when you complete the AI Readiness Assessment, request a call, subscribe to The Operator’s Edge newsletter, download a resource, or submit a form.
  • Service engagement information: if you become a client, we collect information necessary to perform the engagement. That information is governed by our separate client engagement agreement, not by this website policy.
  • Communications: messages you send us by email, form, booking call, or other channels.

3.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, time on page, and similar telemetry, collected through our analytics tools.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 6 below.

4. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries, schedule calls, and deliver content you request.
  • Send The Operator’s Edge newsletter and related communications you have opted in to receive. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
  • Fulfill free-resource downloads and the AI Readiness Assessment.
  • Understand how the site is used so we can improve it (aggregate analytics).
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, and misuse of the site.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share your information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Sharing and third parties

We share information with service providers who help us operate the site and run our business. Each is contractually bound to use the information only for the services they provide to us.

  • Google Analytics 4 — aggregate website analytics.
  • Cloudflare — content delivery, security, bot protection, and edge analytics.
  • Listmonk (self-hosted) — newsletter subscription management for The Operator’s Edge.
  • Salesmate — customer relationship management (contact records, inquiry history, sales pipeline).
  • n8n (self-hosted) — workflow automation between our services; processes form submissions and webhook events.
  • Lunacal — booking and scheduling of discovery, workshop, and build calls.
  • Fluent Forms — form submission handling on the site, including the AI Readiness Assessment and resource-download forms.
  • Cloudflare R2 — file storage for site media, lead-magnet assets, and resource downloads.
  • FlyWP — managed WordPress hosting (server infrastructure and backups).

We may also disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, to protect our rights, or to protect the safety of others. If Protomated is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use a small set of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: required for the site and its forms to function.
  • Analytics cookies: Google Analytics 4 and Cloudflare analytics, which help us understand aggregate site usage.
  • Session storage: a small amount of browser-side storage is used to remember UI preferences (for example, whether you have dismissed the sticky mobile CTA).

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. See your browser documentation. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break parts of the site.

7. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
  • Ask us to delete your information, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share for advertising purposes).
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. California residents may designate an authorized agent; we will verify the agent’s authority before acting on the request.

8. Data retention

We retain information for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, plus a reasonable period to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. Newsletter subscribers remain on the list until they unsubscribe. Inquiry records are retained in our CRM for up to 24 months after the last contact, then deleted or anonymized unless a client engagement has begun.

9. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We limit access to personal information to people who need it to do their jobs and use encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate.

10. Children

This site is intended for attorneys and their firms. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be communicated through the site or, where required, by email.
