Claude Starter Kit for Solo Attorneys
Solos are the least AI-adopting attorneys, and the ones who do use consumer chatbots with no safeguards. This kit bundles five skills, a ready MCP config, and a master guardrail prompt into one Cowork install. Every output is a draft you review. Free, yours to keep.
Install the plugin
- Copy the marketplace link above.
- In Claude, add it as a plugin marketplace.
- Install the plugin from that marketplace.
- Start a new conversation so the plugin loads, then try it on a real example before you rely on it.
How it works
- Install the plugin bundle in Claude Desktop (see plugin/README.md).
- Connect the connectors the skill under test needs — each guide lists them. Point the Filesystem connector at a scratch folder, not your real ~/Matters folder (e.g. ~/Matters-TEST/), so synthetic data never mixes with real client files.
- Create any files a scenario calls for in that scratch folder before sending the prompt — each scenario spells out the exact file path and contents to create.
- Open a new Claude Desktop chat per scenario (or per skill) so prior conversation context doesn't leak into the test.
Compliance: assisted draft, always reviewed
This drafts from the input you supply. It never sends or files anything, never invents facts you didn’t provide, and carries a hard-coded “Not legal advice — review before use” disclaimer on every output.
